Yasa Hotel

Istanbul, Turkey

2006

Yasa Hotel is located in Üsküdar, traditionally known in Italian and English as Scutari  is a large and densely populated district and municipality of Istanbul, Turkey, on the Anatolian shore of the Bosphorus. The site faces to Kısıklı Street, which is main road. This strategic location directs the design ideas. It's decided to design an iconic building that can draw attraction. Main inspiration source is 'Fibonacci Sequence' to create propotional iconic building. The Fibonacci spiral: an approximation of the golden spiral created by drawing circular arcs connecting the opposite corners of squares in the Fibonacci tiling forms the building charecter. The design which resembles a pine cone creats a crystal effect in the strategical location of Istanbul.
